Day trip to Hull - 9 September 2014

Martin had to do some data downloading from the M&S store in Anlaby that is the 'model' for his PhD research on energy usage in supermarkets, so this time I went with him and we took the rest of the day out and about in Hull.  The first sight was this 1934 Morris Austin parked just outside the shop.  Reminded me of childhood days, when I used to go around in this sort of car rather a lot. Yes, really!=)

Move over China, this is a rickshaw Hull style!

A visit to the Martime Museum and here is the page on display from the log of the Ship's Surgeon aboard the Diana, the last Hull based whaler, which got stuck in Arctic ice with tragic consequences.

So many wonderful models in the museum too.

The Humber estuary just beyond the entrance to Hull Marina.

Next time anyone asks me what I want to do in paradise, this is the answer: sail an ocean going catamaran cruiser like this one around the world.
